Tools, camera, and keyboard play

Every pitch interaction works with mouse, touch, and keyboard, with explicit ownership so dragging a player never spins the camera.

Five board tools below the pitch

The toolbar directly beneath the grass controls what a single finger or left-click does on the pitch. Two-finger pinch/pan and mouse-wheel zoom stay available for the camera even while Move or Draw is active.

  • Inspect: Tap any player to read their role and tactical options without changing possession. Tap empty grass to clear selection.
  • Move: Drag an outfield player within pitch bounds, drag a goalkeeper inside their goal area, or drag the ball to create a free ball. Releasing a player pins them.
  • Pass: Tap a same-team receiver to preview the corridor, then tap "Confirm pass" to transfer possession.
  • Draw: Drag arrows, lines, circles, or shaded regions in world coordinates. Switch to Eraser to remove strokes first and filled regions second.
  • Camera: Orbit freely or snap between Angled, Top, Goal, Player, and Focus views.

Full keyboard control without touching the canvas

Open "Roster & keyboard controls" below the legend to select any Home or Away player, step them 1 m or 3 m along the length and width of the pitch, or preview and confirm passes using standard focusable buttons.
